About Château de Fléville
Just south of Nancy, in Meurthe-et-Moselle, the Château de Fléville is a beautiful Renaissance château that grew from a medieval fortress, of which a fine tall tower survives beside the elegant later residence. Rebuilt in the 16th century in graceful Renaissance style, the château presents a harmonious façade and richly furnished rooms — a chapel, panelled salons and grand staircases — that evoke centuries of aristocratic life in Lorraine, once welcoming the dukes themselves. Surrounded by gardens and a park, it is a jewel of the region near its capital. Elegant, historic and beautifully preserved, the Château de Fléville offers a delightful glimpse of Renaissance architecture and the refined life of the Lorraine nobility, a charming heritage stop in the countryside just outside Nancy, easily combined with a visit to the splendid capital of Lorraine.
