About Château de Rosières

The Château de Rosières is located in the village of Rosières-aux-Salines, in the department of Meurthe-et-Moselle, in northeastern France. The castle dates back to the 15th century and has a long history of renovations and restorations. It was originally built as a fortified manor house, with four towers and a moat. In the 17th century, the castle was transformed into a Renaissance-style château, with the addition of a grand entrance, a chapel, and a new wing. During the French Revolution, the château was seized by the state and sold to a private owner. In the 19th century, it was purchased by the Viscount of Rosières, who carried out extensive renovations to restore the castle to its former glory. Today, the Château de Rosières is a private residence and is not open to the public. However, visitors can admire the castle's impressive exterior from the outside. The castle is also known for its beautiful park, which features a French-style garden, an English-style garden, and a large pond.
