About Côte de Granit Rose

Unique in Europe, the Côte de Granit Rose on the north coast of Brittany is a shoreline of extraordinary pink-hued granite, sculpted by wind and sea over millions of years into a fantastical jumble of giant rounded boulders glowing rose, ochre and gold. The heart of this marvel lies around Ploumanac'h and Perros-Guirec, where the famous coastal customs path, the Sentier des Douaniers, winds between the great stones past a picture-book lighthouse to hidden coves of clear water. Offshore, the Sept-Îles bird reserve shelters puffins and gannets. Especially magical at sunset, when the rocks blaze with colour, the Côte de Granit Rose is one of the most beautiful and distinctive coastlines in all of France.
