About Grande Cascade de Tendon
Set in the forests of the Vosges near the village of Tendon, the Grande Cascade — also known as the Cascade de Tendon — is one of the prettiest and most accessible waterfalls in the massif. The stream drops in two graceful tiers, some 30 metres in all, over mossy rock in a cool glen of tall spruce and beech, only a short walk from the road. A neighbouring smaller fall, the Petite Cascade, completes the outing. Framed by ferns and dripping green, and especially full after rain or spring snowmelt, this is a classic Vosges beauty spot — an easy, refreshing stop for families exploring the wooded valleys between Épinal and Gérardmer.
