About Plage de Palombaggia

Often ranked among the most beautiful beaches in Europe, the Plage de Palombaggia curves along the coast south of Porto-Vecchio in southern Corsica in a dreamlike sweep of powder-white sand, umbrella pines and water of dazzling turquoise and jade. Great rounded boulders of pink-red granite frame its coves and rise from the shallows, and the twin islets of the Îles Cerbicale float offshore. Warm, clear and gently shelving, the sea is perfect for swimming and snorkelling, while the pines behind offer welcome shade. Beloved and justly famous yet still framed by wild, protected coast, Palombaggia is the postcard image of Corsican paradise — a beach whose colours seem almost too vivid to be real.
