About Erbalunga

On the rocky eastern shore of Cap Corse, the wild finger of land reaching north from Corsica, Erbalunga is an enchanting little fishing hamlet gathered around a tiny harbour, its emblem a ruined Genoese watchtower standing romantically on a rocky point above the sea. A cluster of tall old stone houses, some rising straight from the water, lines the shore beneath the tower, where fishing boats bob in the clear Mediterranean. This picturesque, timeless scene has long drawn painters and writers to its quiet charm, and the village still hosts a famous Good Friday procession. With its Genoese tower, seaside houses and unspoilt atmosphere, wrapped in the beautiful, wild landscapes of Cap Corse, Erbalunga is one of the most charming villages of the Corsican coast — a peaceful and poetic gem far from the summer crowds.
