About Goult

Perched on a hillside in the heart of the Luberon in Provence, Goult is a delightful and refreshingly unspoilt village, quieter than some of its famous neighbours yet full of charm. Its honey-coloured stone houses climb narrow, flower-decked lanes to a restored château and, crowning the summit, a beautifully preserved windmill, the Moulin de Jérusalem, surrounded by a conservatory of ancient dry-stone terraces that tell the story of Provençal farming. From the top, wide views open over the vineyards, orchards and hills of the Luberon regional park. With its old fountains, quiet squares, art galleries and good restaurants, the village breathes authentic Provençal calm. Peaceful, luminous and beautifully sited amid the Luberon countryside, close to the villages of Roussillon and Gordes, Goult is a charming and less-crowded gem for lovers of Provence.
