About Séguret Village
Clinging to a hillside beneath the jagged peaks of the Dentelles de Montmirail, Séguret is one of the most beautiful villages of the southern Rhône, a Plus Beaux Villages de France wrapped in vineyards and Provençal charm. Its steep, cobbled lanes, too narrow for cars, wind past a fortified gateway, a medieval fountain, a Romanesque church and old stone houses draped in flowers, climbing to the ruins of a castle with sweeping views over the vineyards and Mont Ventoux beyond. The village lies at the heart of the Séguret and Gigondas wine country, where visitors can taste the rich reds of the Rhône. Especially magical at Christmas, when it stages a famous living nativity, Séguret is a perfectly preserved Provençal jewel of stone, wine and light beneath the lacework peaks of the Dentelles.
