About Le Bal des Oiseaux Fantômes
Le Bal des Oiseaux Fantômes is one of the signature shows of Puy du Fou, the theme park at Les Épesses in the Vendée department of western France. It is a large-scale falconry display staged in an open-air arena set among ruins. Eagles, vultures, owls, falcons, storks and many other birds take flight just above the stands, guided by a team of falconers. Music, costumes and a narrative thread accompany the flights and give the performance its theatrical dimension. Shows are staged on selected days during the park's opening season, with the audience seated on tiers arranged around the flight area.
